Emerado Girls B-ball will have its first home game this afternoon Thursday, September 3rd @ 4:30 pm. Parent extracurricular attendance guidance is provided in a document under "Resources" in our website www.emeradok8.com. Tomorrow we are also asking any parents/families who are able to help with the removal of wood chips from our playground for the preparation of construction for our new playground beginning next week. Playground work will begin at 6:00 pm for those who are available. Next week there is no school on Monday, September 7th (Labor Day), and an early-out for PD inservice on Wednesday, September 9th @ 1:25 pm. All students will be excused/picked up at 1:15 pm.

Great first couple of days in our building! It was great seeing our students and we are fortunate to have this time with them. Next week Encore begins as well as extracurriculars (girls b-ball + robotics for 6-8). For morning Encore (before school), screening and entry will be at Door #2 beginning at 6:45 am. After school Encore will run until 4:00 pm. Basketball practice will run until 4:00 pm (Monday-Thursday). Out of town/rural students will ride bus, and in-town students will need other transportation options. Meals will be available by request in the entryway of Door #2 at 12:30 pm for our distance learners, no deliveries. Please continue to communicate with teachers in the coming weeks for guidance with online activities, or any other questions to prepare for the year. Thank you for your flexibility Bulldogs! We can tell it will be a great year!

In-person instruction begins tomorrow Thursday, August 27th. We are excited to have our students back and to see their faces again! Doors will be open at 7:45 am, and no visitors/parents allowed in the building at this time. Parent drop off will be at Door #2 for PreK: 5-8, and Door #3 for K-4. Staff members and helpers will be screening, welcoming, and guiding students into and around the building. All students will have attendendance and grading requirements. Distance students who do not have devices will be available in Door #2 entryway. Sack lunches will be available upon request for distance students can be picked up in the entryway of Door #2 beginning August 31st @ 12:30 pm. Deliveries are not available at this time.

Emerado staff will be hosting a meet and greet today Tuesday, August 25th from 2:00 - 6:00 pm. All will take place outside in Emerado Public School parking lot to allow proper distancing measures. First day of school will be Thursday, August 27th for everyone. Guidance will be provided by teachers after tech items have been distributed on teacher pages in www.emeradok8.com. Transportation and routes will be determined and families will be contacted by their bus driver either today or tomorrow for pickup times. In-town students will need alternate transportation at this time.

To all new and returning families: All immunizations MUST be up to date on or before the last day of registration (August 20). Also, if you have not previously provided the school with a copy of your child's birth certificate, you need to provide us with one. Both these things are required by the state for your child to attend school at Emerado in the 2020/2021 school year.
