Tomorrow Thursday, October 29 - Parent/Teacher Conferences (4-7 pm) No Encore or extracurriculars. Students are welcome to wear costumes and bring pre-made snacks/treats during the school day. Pre-K will resume on Monday and will have their "Harvest Celebration" that day, so costumes are welcome in Pre-K. Friday, October 30 - NO SCHOOL comp day. Tutoring will begin Tuesday, November 3rd. Copies of tutoring forms are available if you have not received them or are interested. Tutoring will be scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4 pm. As a reminder, all parent drop offs and pick up will be at door #2 (east), under all circumstances. Emerado Public School Pre-Kindergarten classroom will be from a distance for the upcoming week of Monday, October 26 to Thursday, October 29 (no school Fri.) due to a household close contact case. Updates will be available later this week for any adjustments/modifications in classrooms.

Reminder for parent drop-off time. We open and screen our students beginning at 7:45 am. Morning Encore students need to be signed up to be allowed into the school before 7:45 am. If a student is dropped off early and it is cold, the entryway will be open until a staff member arrives to screen/sanitize students. We have done a great job thus far with our efforts to keep our students and building open, let keep it up Bulldogs!!

This afternoon our girls basketball team will be playing at home beginning at 4:15 pm. Extra-curricular guidance is present and posted on our website under "Covid-19 info." for guidelines in attending home games. Entrance is door #2 (east). We require temperature checks (scan wrist to the right of screen), hands sanitized, masks, distancing, and 4 guests per student/athlete. Visiting team can bring 1 guest per student/athlete. On Friday, October 2nd our K-5 graders will be attending Nelson's Pumpkin Patch @ 12:30 pm, $3.00. Flyer is present under "resources". No parent chaperones or attendance at this time. All students will be back before the end of the day. Online/distance clarification will be present in new Bulldog Bulletin and website. Please read and go over these requirements with your distance learning student for understanding and continued success.

Update: Our school-based sealant program will be taking place tomorrow Wednesday, September 23 @ 9:00 am instead of Tuesday, September 29.

The Girls Basketball game today in Manvel will begin at 4:15 pm. Manvels' extra-curricular attendance requirements for visiting teams are masks, distancing, and 1 parent/guardian allowed per student/athlete. Any other updates are included in our website/resources/Parents - Extracurricular guidelines for attendance.

Distance learners and families: The use of our playground and playground equipment is not available during the school day (6:45 am to 4:00 pm). If you are a distance learner and would like to use the playground/playground equipment, it must be used after 4:00 pm. Thank you!

Reminder to ALL parents: Today 9/9/20 is an early out. All students will be dismissed at 1:30 today. Parent pickup and walkers will start to be dismissed between 1:15-1:25. All pickups need to be picked up and out of the building by 1:30 so teachers can attend their PD. Rural route buses will depart at 1:25. NO ENCORE or EXTRA CIRCULARS today. Thank you

Tomorrow we are also asking any parents/families who are able to help with the removal of wood chips from our playground for the preparation of construction for our new playground beginning next week. Playground work will begin at 6:00 pm for those who are available. Next week there is no school on Monday, September 7th (Labor Day), and an early-out for PD inservice on Wednesday, September 9th @ 1:25 pm. All students will be excused/picked up at 1:15 pm.

Great first couple of days in our building! It was great seeing our students and we are fortunate to have this time with them. Next week Encore begins as well as extracurriculars (girls b-ball + robotics for 6-8). For morning Encore (before school), screening and entry will be at Door #2 beginning at 6:45 am. After school Encore will run until 4:00 pm. Basketball practice will run until 4:00 pm (Monday-Thursday). Out of town/rural students will ride bus, and in-town students will need other transportation options. Meals will be available by request in the entryway of Door #2 at 12:30 pm for our distance learners, no deliveries. Please continue to communicate with teachers in the coming weeks for guidance with online activities, or any other questions to prepare for the year. Thank you for your flexibility Bulldogs!
